2010 Annual Book Distribution

The Help a Poor Child Sri Lanka branch organised the annual book distribution program, with much thanks due to the generous support of HAPC UK.
This program was implemented in the various parts of the country including Easter, Southern and Central Provinces.
HAPC –Sri Lanka Chairperson Hemanthi Goonasekera distributing the books to some of the selected children from various parts of the country.
Volunteers of HAPC went to different locations of the Island to distribute the books to the needy. School books were also distributed to the communities affected by floods in the Eastern Province, Ampara area. HAPC also went on a special mission to support children who lost their belongings due to fire in rural tea planation community in in the Central Province of the Country. Children were helped with books, and other needs to restart their studies.
In 2010 program more than 8000 books were distributed together with other needs for poor children.
